A Rose is a Rose is an FO

Rose, she be done! Here's full view. 'Rose' tee, by Alexandra Virgiel (a free tank-top version is on Knitty as 'Soleil'). Started March 2007, frogged twice due to silly mistakes, heartlessly cast aside for a few weeks in favor of socks and earrings for Thing 1 and Thing 2 and the bamboo/wool Twinkletoes Socks. Altered to create a higher neckline to make this workplace appropriate. The yarn got even softer after washing and it feels great. Knit with 100% raw silk from Tess' Designer Yarns purchased at Stitches West, on size 5 Addi Turbos. Here's the view my husband likes better:
On to Icarus!

Gorgeous! Your husband is right, it is a very flattering sweater not just the fit, but the color as well (I know, we can't see your face, but I know your coloring...)Lovely!

N-i-i-i-ce! Love the color on you. Now if I can just get all the other projects (4 scarves, 2 baby blankets) off the needles / hooks, maybe I can make something as flattering for me.

Really pretty, the colour is great on you. I can't wait to see you working on Icarus. Lace shawls scare me just a little bit.

Where can I get a copy of the sleeved version? I've googled it but the closest I get is your blog post! I love soleil but always thought something was missing. Apparently it was the sleeves!

Please email me at
Ruth AT 5elementknitr Dot com

Thanks!
