Real Vermont

First, thanks for all the nice wishes! My husband would like to point out however, that my account of our meeting wasn't entirely accurate. He not only sent me home with biscotti, he also sent me home with chicken soup and a loaf of home made bread (sourdough, and yes, he made it). I stand corrected. And wishing he still made all his own bread.

The knitting has been coming along nicely but I keep getting tempted by this:

I can't stay away from my Real Vermonter Roving! I wasn't going to touch it until the sweater was completed but I just couldn't resist.

This is the first 1.75 ounces spun up into sock weight (Navajo plied). If I can spin consistently through the rest of it, I should end up with a little over 500 yards. I love this stuff! There is a little VM but not enough to consider it an issue, and it is super easy to spin.

Jessie warned not to overspin and thereby lose the softness; good advice and I think I managed not to do that. I also have sucked others into purchasing from her. I got an IM from Jasmin this morning: "You are the devil". "Why?" I wanted to know or rather, "for which reason THIS time?". Turns out, she bought more than I did. Hee. I love enabling!

Mmm, that looks good enough to eat. I can understand why sweater monogamy is difficult with that around. Your handspun is beautiful!
