Margit lives nearby and does beautiful work. You can order from her site but I wanted to see it in real life first, so I dropped by today to pick it out. The one on the left is Falkland wool which she says is good for beginning spinners (that's me!) in the Mars colorway, and the other two are Merino Superwash in Oregon Coast and October. I'm planning on turning them each into sock yarn.
I've also been knitting!
That's the beginning of Lizard Ridge. I love how the colors are going together, and it's a great break from the fine, hard-to-see lace of.....
Icarus!
This first view is of Icarus, unblocked. Typical lace, doesn't look
like much.
Good think I know it'll look a heck of
a lot better with some blocking. This is only partially stretched out
with some pins - it would have come
off the needles if I'd stretched it all
the way and I already have had to contend with stitches leaping off of needles without permission. No more, thank you very much.
I'm also about to start a small, slightly cheeky (minx that I am) project for the Avon Walk. Can you guess what it'll be? It wasn't my idea but I like it and think it's highly appropriate for the occasion....

Nice! It looks like you're working Icarus single stranded with Yarn Place yarn. What size needle are you using?
You're exactly right - it's Graceful from Yarn Place. And I'm using size 3 Addi Lace needles - LOVE the Addi Lace! They make life much easier - I highly recommend them.
Nice Icarus! I'm not familiar with Graceful. Do you recommend it?
Oh how beautiful. It is really interesting how different Icarus looks with different yarn, Freecia is making one now with white yarn and it is so different than yours! I *heart* the Graceful yarn, I got some a little while ago, I am going to have to figure out what to make with it!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Loving all those fabulous colours.
